Summary
Daniels is running for North Salem Supervisor against Lucas. That’s the top local job, so the winner will shape the town budget, laws, and priorities. Expect this race to become a referendum on how North Salem is run.

Impact analysis
Because the supervisor helps set the town budget, this race could shift spending and tax priorities—though no specific fiscal plan is outlined here.
Residents who want a different direction for town government—and Daniels’s supporters—stand to gain if the challenger wins.
No groups negatively affected—this is an election contest, not a policy change.
